Limited edition, quality print of The Imperial Hotel, Castlemaine.

 

The Imperial Hotel, also known as the Town Hall Hotel and later Becks Imperial Hotel was built in 1861 in Lyttleton Street Castlemaine. The two-story Hotel was erected for Faulder Watson to the design of Melbourne architects Purchas and Swyer.

 

More recently used as tearooms, accommodation and an antique store, the buildings façade was also used in the popular Australian TV series Blue Heelers as the pub for the fictional town of Mt Thomas.
